Pacific Compensation Insurance Company (PacificComp) faced a major business-model shift in 2010, moving from direct sales to a broker-based distribution model. That change required a fundamental systems overhaul and complex integration of legacy and new SaaS systems—policy management, billing, claims, document management and more—to support broker workflows and improve efficiency.
PacificComp selected MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform and an ESB architecture (two Mule instances for public/private use) to integrate DCo (policy), STG Billing, Guidewire, SpringCM and other systems. The integrations and several small supporting apps enabled the company to re-launch on schedule, delivering faster time-to-market, better support for heterogeneous environments, a modernized, scalable infrastructure and minimal disruption to operations.
