Vertu, the UK maker of handmade luxury mobile phones, became independent from Nokia in 2012 and faced the challenge of building a new IT architecture from scratch. The company needed to migrate and replace manufacturing, product data management and engineering systems, integrate with legacy Nokia software, and achieve a single 360° view of customers to maintain its high-end service.

Working with WHISHWORKS, Vertu implemented MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform to integrate Salesforce, SAP, POS, ExactTarget and legacy systems while replacing core manufacturing and PDM systems. The platform delivered agile, scalable integration, enabling authenticated updates to legacy devices, improved production efficiency, continuity of service and a solid foundation for e‑commerce and future growth.
