INSEAD automates and optimizes student and staff experiences

INSEAD, the world‑leading graduate business school, was hampered by a sprawling tech ecosystem of over 100 siloed applications that created a poor digital experience for students and heavy manual workload for staff—especially around enrollment and scheduling. The school needed to connect mission‑critical systems, reduce duplicate data entry, and deliver a seamless, global learning experience.

Using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform, INSEAD built an API‑led architecture to integrate a new scheduling platform (TimeEdit), Canvas, PeopleSoft, Salesforce Sales Cloud and other systems, automating scheduling and enrollment workflows and centralizing data. The initiative produced 36 APIs, cut manual work by 60%, increased developer speed by 44%, enabled 75% API reuse, saved an average of 80 development hours per integration, and accelerated Sales Cloud deployment threefold — freeing staff to focus on higher‑value tasks.
