GANT, a global fashion retailer, faced the challenge of providing a seamless omnichannel experience due to disconnected systems and information silos. They needed a way to expose real-time inventory data so online customers could easily check if a desired item was available in a nearby store. To solve this, GANT partnered with vendor MuleSoft and leveraged its Anypoint Platform to build a foundational API architecture.
Using MuleSoft, GANT created an "Online Store Stock Check" service that exposed inventory data through APIs, bridging their online store and retail systems. This solution allowed them to roll out the new product availability feature three times faster and at one-third of the cost for new markets. Subsequent rollouts cost less than a third of the initial project, enabling GANT to launch innovative omnichannel projects more efficiently and prepare for future customer engagement channels.
