A MuleSoft Case Study
GIE-UGIM is one of France’s largest mutual health insurance consortia, serving over 800,000 members across eight mutual benefit organizations. After implementing Silligent CRM in 2010, the group faced the challenge of integrating a multitude of legacy and new applications—each using different data formats and protocols—to continuously improve member services without years of costly point-to-point development.
GIE-UGIM adopted Mule ESB as an integration layer to loosely couple systems, translate diverse protocols (XML, Web Services, HTTP, flat files) and let Java developers deliver functionality faster. The Mule-based approach lowered costs compared with alternatives, sped delivery of new applications, reduced total cost of ownership, and improved customer service while providing a scalable framework for future projects.
