Citrix, a 25‑year pioneer in virtual workplace solutions used by over 100 million people at more than 330,000 organizations, faced a strategic shift from primarily on‑premises infrastructure to the cloud. The priority was a pragmatic, phased migration that wouldn’t disrupt operations — starting with a pressing marketing challenge: marketing and sales lacked real‑time synchronization between Marketo and Salesforce, limiting lead velocity and campaign effectiveness, and requiring a scalable integration approach beyond on‑premises point‑to‑point solutions.
Citrix implemented MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform and CloudHub to unify connectivity between Marketo, Salesforce and other systems, enabling secure hybrid integration and access to operations data. As a result, marketing now synchronizes data in real time to drive new offerings and convert leads faster, development speed and business agility have increased dramatically, and Citrix is expanding integration projects (Workday–SAP, legacy .NET) to accelerate its cloud transition.
