AKB delivers projects faster with reusable MuleSoft APIs

Aargauische Kantonalbank (AKB) needed a better way to connect its core banking system, Avaloq, with new digital services. With a landscape of about 300 custom interfaces and slow, waterfall-based delivery, AKB turned to MuleSoft to create a standard integration layer that could speed up development, improve reuse, and reduce costs.

Using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and MuleSoft Professional Services, AKB built an API-led architecture that now connects around 70 systems. The bank reports 70 apps built on MuleSoft, 500,000 daily API calls, about 50% API reuse, and delivery that is four times faster, with integrations now taking just 10 to 25 days.
