Trovi, a mobile startup that promotes local businesses, independents and events, engaged Mubaloo to replace their HTML‑wrapped iPhone app with a polished native iPhone app. The brief was to increase customer engagement through a better native user experience and to add tools for business owners to claim and promote listings, including in‑app purchases.

Mubaloo built a native Trovi iPhone app (using Parse for data storage, user accounts and in‑app purchasing) that lets users search, save and comment on independent businesses, discover location‑based promotions, and create favourites; business owners can claim listings, add images, opening hours and contact details, and buy vouchers to run promotions. The Mubaloo solution delivered a sleeker native experience and new promotional channels for businesses, resulting in higher engagement and stronger ability for owners to push targeted offers to the community.
