PROMPT Maternity Foundation (PMF) is a UK charity of obstetricians, midwives and anaesthetists that delivers training to improve birth outcomes worldwide. PMF identified a gap in rapid, practical support for paramedics, ambulance staff and other pre-hospital clinicians managing labour and childbirth emergencies, and engaged Mubaloo to create a mobile learning and decision-support tool — the PROMPT Pre-hospital App for iPad.

Mubaloo developed a native iPad app with hard-coded algorithms, videos and guidance so materials are available offline, organized into colour‑coded Pre-Birth, Birth and Post‑Birth sections with five common complications per category, plus common maternity terminology; end users and PROMPT staff guided the design and user testing. The Mubaloo-built app delivers immediate, evidence-based guidance in the field, complements PMF’s training programmes, and measurably improves accessibility, speed of access and usability for pre-hospital maternity care.
