Case Study: Mitie achieves faster issue resolution and offline access with Mubaloo's Miworld iPad app

Mitie, a facilities management company with over £2bn in revenues and ~70,000 employees, wanted to extend its web-based Miworld business‑intelligence portal into a mobile tool for its Facilities Managers. To give FMs easy, on‑the‑move access to property information (including in areas with poor connectivity) Mitie engaged Mubaloo to build the Miworld iPad app that would replicate Miworld functionality and provide offline capability.

Mubaloo designed a configurable iPad app with an initial dashboard, colour‑coded widgets (tasks, H&S, utilities, lease management, planned tasks, utilisation), a bespoke CMS for dynamic widget and feed management, Yammer integration for contractor communication, push/local notifications and local caching for offline access. The Miworld iPad app is now live and, according to the project goals, enables Mitie’s FMs to access data anytime, streamline communications and more quickly identify and resolve issues — improving FM efficiency and transforming property portfolio management.
