Eircom, Ireland’s biggest telecommunications provider, engaged Mubaloo to build MyMeteor, a free iPhone & Android self-service web app to help customers keep on top of their account usage. The project aimed to improve customer retention, put customers in control of their accounts, reduce call-centre enquiries, and make online and mobile the main point of contact.

Mubaloo delivered MyMeteor with features to check balances, view recent calls, texts and data usage, and access FAQs and Eircom support forums for both Bill Pay and Pay As You Go customers. The app was well received, helping position Eircom’s mobile and online channels as primary contact points — and the MyMeteor iPhone app reached number 1 in the Irish App Store’s free apps category.
