The retailer needed to identify the right content, channel, and audience for personalized marketing while improving campaign performance and increasing incremental revenue.

Mu Sigma used its Art of Problem Solving framework, muUniverse and muPDNA, to structure the problem, then applied data analysis, predictive modeling, uplift/propensity modeling, revenue prediction, and A/B testing using customer interest, purchase behavior, demographic, review, and lead data. The solution enabled content and audience recommendations for direct mail, email, and social campaigns, helping drive about $3M in incremental revenue, supporting more than 20 direct mail campaigns, and generating 60 million recommendations per week.
