Mu Sigma worked with a large food products manufacturer to modernize its Service Performance Measurement (SPM) process. The customer was relying on a largely manual, Excel-based workflow and existing SAP BW systems, which made it difficult to measure key customer service KPIs such as Case Fill%, Fill Rate%, Fill Rate on Time%, and On Time in Full% with speed, accuracy, and visibility.
Mu Sigma rebuilt the KPI logic from the ground up using PySpark, validated the new calculations against BW reports, and created an automated Power BI front end for faster reporting and easier consumption of analytics. The new framework achieved 99.9% accuracy versus the existing reports, reduced manual labor, improved standardization and reporting for stakeholders, and gave the customer a scalable foundation to expand the solution across other markets.
