The airline’s loyalty and CRM teams needed a better email targeting framework to make design-and-execution trigger campaigns and BAU campaigns more relevant to customer behavior and preferences.
Mu Sigma developed an analytical email targeting framework using a test-and-learn approach, evaluating campaign KPIs, audience characteristics, and offer types to improve targeting and measurement. The solution was rolled out across regions and campaign types, helping US Largest Airlines achieve about a 20% increase in response and conversion rates, while also boosting redemption on secondary offers such as hotels and cars.
