Polestar Racing, the Swedish motorsport team affiliated with Volvo Car Corp., needed a better way to accurately simulate how different vehicle configurations would perform in corners while preparing for a highly competitive racing season. Working with MSC Software, the team adopted Adams/Car to evaluate prospective complete-vehicle designs and decide which ideas were worth taking to the test track.

Using MSC Software’s Adams/Car, Polestar Racing could quickly build and test virtual prototypes, analyze race events, and evaluate small improvements before physical testing. The result was a major increase in track-testing efficiency: ideas that proved effective rose from about 40%–50% before Adams/Car to 80%–90% afterward, helping Polestar optimize tire and chassis setups and contribute to multiple championship-winning seasons.
