Nagoya Municipal Industrial Research Institute - Customer Case Study

Nagoya Municipal Industrial Research Institute is a public research institute in Nagoya city that supports small and medium-sized companies with testing and analysis. As thermal management requests grew, its engineers needed reliable CFD tools to handle electronics cooling, mold thermal design, and research work, and they began using Software Cradle products such as HeatDesigner, SC/Tetra, scSTREAM, and CADthru.

With Software Cradle, NMIRI was able to simulate air-cooled and water-cooled systems during development of a system for measuring heat generation from electronic parts, and to compare simulation results with test measurements to improve accuracy. The institute also used the tools to validate analytical models and test instrumentation, and found the flexible output options and responsive technical support helpful in advancing more detailed thermal analyses.
