Moeller GmbH, a leading innovator in switchgear and safety solutions, needed a faster, more accurate way to study switch behavior, short-circuit dynamics, and product changes without relying on laborious physical prototypes. The company turned to MSC Software and its MSC.ADAMS multibody simulation software to replace time-consuming manual calculations and video-based analysis.

With MSC Software’s MSC.ADAMS, Moeller engineers ran detailed virtual tests on the same model, including forces, friction, tripping behavior, and short-circuit conditions, while also integrating in-house tools and FEM data. The result was fewer prototypes, better product quality, and much faster development: parameter studies that once took half a day could be completed in just a couple of minutes, with release-time accuracy improving to below 5%.
