Hitachi Mito Engineering Co., Ltd. provides engineering support for elevators and other industrial products, and it needed a faster way to handle thermal design work early in development. The company had been using analysis tools from Software Cradle to reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency, especially for PCB thermal analysis.

Software Cradle provided HeatDesigner and later developed PICLS with input from Hitachi Mito Engineering’s design engineers. PICLS let engineers review heat transfer and temperature distribution in real time, which helped Hitachi Mito Engineering front-load its CAE process, minimize analysis tasks, shorten evaluation time, and speed up development in the design phase.
