Fast Forest Team places 9th with MSC Software Adams Car sponsorship

The vendor MSC Software provided its Adams multi-body simulation software to a university student group, the Fast Forest Team, to help them design and build a Formula Student electric racing car. Their challenge was to develop a high-performance vehicle chassis and systems efficiently, needing to simulate complex dynamics like tire behavior and road profiles without the time and expense of extensive physical prototyping.

The solution from MSC Software allowed the team to construct and test functional virtual prototypes using Adams, specifically Adams Car, to analyze motion dynamics and integrate flexible components. This enabled them to perform extensive virtual testing under various conditions in a fraction of the time. As a result, the Fast Forest Team successfully built their competition vehicle and achieved a notable result, placing 9th at the Formula Student event at Hockenheimring.
