Utility Meters Warehouse Ltd (UMW) is a Salford-based designer and manufacturer of gas meter modules and related products that grew rapidly after launching online sales. That growth exposed weaknesses in its paper-based processes and inventory “gut-feel” management, creating poor visibility of orders, production planning and procurement and prompting MD Paul Ryder to seek a flexible end-to-end system.

Libra Europe Consulting implemented MRPeasy integrated with Xero, digitising customers, suppliers, stock, BOMs, orders and routings, adding a CRM, Android tablets with Internet Kiosk for real-time shop-floor updates, and a daily Gantt for dynamic production rescheduling. Implemented in weeks, the solution delivered a fully paperless workflow, clear order tracking from quote to shipment, improved labour and material planning and saved staff time while syncing with existing accounting — a change UMW described as smooth and time-saving.
