Urban Edge Properties enhances recoveries with Open Box and MRI Software

Urban Edge, a NYSE-listed real estate investment trust focused on urban retail properties, needed to improve a time-consuming, manual expense recovery process for tenants. The company used MRI Commercial Management and wanted enhancements to its workflows and formulas to better match its billing, accrual, and recovery requirements.

Urban Edge worked with MRI Software and its partner Open Box to automate and tailor recovery calculations, invoice displays, and revenue recognition processes within MRI Software’s open and connected solution. The project delivered about 30 enhancements in 12 months and saved up to three hours per day on contribution calculations, while also reducing two to four days of work each month on recovery formulas and improving accuracy, transparency, and data integrity.
