Seaboard Energy, a Seaboard Foods subsidiary that operates a biodiesel plant using animal fats and vegetable oils, needed a more reliable way to protect people and manage access at a high-risk, high-security site. Their paper-based visitor, contractor and employee records were inconsistent, hard to follow and lacked evidence-based reporting, leaving the company unable to reliably account for who was on site and to reconcile contractor invoicing.

After evaluating several options they implemented MRI OnLocation for its ease of implementation and strong customer support. The rollout improved accountability and contractor time-tracking and delivered a tenfold gain in efficiency in reporting and reconciliation; while cost reductions haven’t yet been realized, the team expects further efficiencies as they adopt more features.
