A MRI Software Case Study
Sandvine, a provider of unified network policy control for fixed, mobile and converged access networks, operates three sites with about 750 employees. They needed to replace a paper-based visitor sign-in process with a cloud-based system that would give real-time visibility of who was on site, print ID badges, handle contractor inductions, allow simultaneous sign-ins, and produce movement reports without requiring in-house servers or added receptionist workload.
Sandvine implemented MRI OnLocation via Identicard, deploying a Windows Surface kiosk and a compact badge printer to provide barcode ID card scanning, a mobile sign-in app, visitor pass printing with lanyards, and induction management. The cloud solution was quick to set up, cost-effective and low-footprint, improved security, reduced the burden on reception and enabled reliable reporting on people movements across their sites.
