Midwest Property Management has managed residential and commercial rental properties across Canada for more than 50 years and is the largest privately held residential rental property holder in Alberta and the Northwest Territories, with over 50 properties including hotels. The company faced slow, inflexible reporting processes that often took hours or days to complete, limiting staff productivity and visibility for property managers and decision makers.

As an MRI client using MRI’s Version X for Residential and Commercial Management and Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting, Midwest installed Spreadsheet Server from insightsoftware via MRI’s partner ecosystem. Spreadsheet Server automates Microsoft® Excel reporting by pulling real-time data from ERP and disparate sources into refreshable, drillable reports; integration took under half a day and users were up and running in hours. The change saved an estimated 75 hours in the latter half of 2017 (a report that once took three days now takes two hours), increased visibility and faster decision-making for property managers, accountants and leasing agents.
