HSS Hire is a leading UK and Ireland provider of tools, equipment and related services with around 280 locations and several specialist divisions. Before 2012 the company managed more than 200 properties using disparate spreadsheets and files, creating multiple versions of the truth, slow reporting and no automated lease-end alerts—making it hard to scale and miss negotiation opportunities as new branches opened.

HSS implemented Qube (now MRI) as a central, user-friendly property management system to track property uses, changes and a clear numbering structure, and to enable easy reporting. The software automated lease reminders and streamlined month-end reporting from over a day to under 30 minutes, supported the opening of 50 branches in 2015, and allowed HSS to actively manage and optimise its estate while benefitting from reliable vendor service.
