Harvard Developments consolidates accounting operations with MRI Software

Harvard Developments, a full‑service real estate firm founded in 1903 with roughly 10 million square feet of owned and managed space and 3 million square feet under development, was hampered by fragmented systems—multiple databases, inconsistent reporting and financial formats, and a lack of integrated workflows, contacts management and cross‑entity business intelligence.

After evaluating vendors, Harvard implemented MRI Software for commercial property management, facility management and financials (including Accounts Payable and Budgeting & Forecasting), replacing five systems with a single database. Since going live in 2017, centralized data and flexible integrations (including an iOS purchase‑order app) have streamlined workflows, improved reporting consistency, reduced time and errors, and enabled scalable growth without significant increases in administrative headcount.
