Chisago County Uses Asset4000 To Manage Depreciable & Non-Depreciable Assets

Chisago County, an exurb north of Minneapolis serving about 53,000 residents, needed a better way to track capital and fixed assets after its new Senior Auditor, Paula Fox, found the existing system hard to use, inflexible, and unable to produce needed reports. The finance department required a more intuitive solution that could handle parent/child relationships, inventory tagging, detailed reporting, and customizable drop-downs.

The county selected MRI Software’s Asset4000 (with Document4000) because it met those requirements, was user-friendly, and proved reliable to IT. Today Chisago County uses the system to manage depreciable and non-depreciable assets over $1,000—including vehicles, buildings, land, highways, and equipment—resulting in better reporting, greater efficiency, and smoother asset management.
