Apleona, a leading European real estate and facilities management firm operating in 30+ countries with over 20,000 employees, needed a centralized energy management solution to report on building energy consumption, carbon emissions, identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) and meet Germany’s and the EU’s climate reporting requirements. Their in-house process relied on monthly Excel exports that became increasingly time-consuming and error-prone as the portfolio grew.

Since implementing MRI eSight in 2015, Apleona has scaled from 600 to more than 2,100 monitored data points, added CO2 reporting and a climate-adjustment multiplier for accurate comparisons, and used the project-tracking module to identify and quantify ECMs. Automated, bilingual SSRS reports replaced manual Excel work (previously two people, two days/month), cutting reporting effort, improving data accuracy and compliance, and giving Apleona a measurable advantage in reducing energy use and attracting customers.
