Ricoh Arena uses MRI Energy to raise awareness of energy management & reduce energy usage by 15%

Ricoh Arena, a 40‑acre, multi‑use sports and events venue in Coventry, needed a way to capture and analyse consumption from more than 200 water, gas, electricity and flow meters, normalise data for weather, raise alarms for anomalies, produce automatic reports and enable tenant billing — while visibly demonstrating its green credentials to visitors. To meet these challenges the Ricoh Arena chose MRI eSight’s eSight® energy management platform.

MRI eSight implemented eSight® across the site, integrating with existing infrastructure, automating meter reads, alarms, dashboards and tenant billing, and training an energy team to target high‑use areas such as lighting and HVAC. As a result Ricoh Arena recorded measurable savings in the first year — electricity down 15%, gas down 6% and water down 13% — improved reporting efficiency, enabled ROI tracking on upgrades, supported CRC reporting and now displays live savings to visitors via an eZdash dashboard.
