MRI Software management program expands as energy costs shrink

Texas Tech University, a Tier I campus in Lubbock with over 38,000 students, needed to shift from reactive maintenance to persistent commissioning to control rising energy complexity as the campus expanded. To find a low‑cost, modular and customizable energy management system with strong analytics, Texas Tech selected MRI eSight’s eSight energy management software (EMS) to harvest real‑time meter data and quickly surface savings opportunities.

MRI eSight deployed a scalable pilot that integrated existing meters, used CUSUM and other analytics for fast fault detection, and kept initial costs low. On day one the eSight EMS flagged a $220,000 savings opportunity in one building, and similar fixes generated over $500,000 in the second year; Texas Tech has since integrated meters from 49 buildings with plans to expand to about 200, demonstrating clear, measurable ROI from MRI eSight’s solution.
