Brothers Paving & Concrete, a Manassas, VA–based contractor serving the D.C. area since 1985, operates a large fleet (about 60 trucks plus 50+ pieces of heavy equipment) and manages maintenance with a small team. Facing paper-based records and no real-time visibility into asset location or actual mileage, the company needed a way to know where equipment was and when it required service to reduce downtime and keep projects on schedule.

In March 2018 Brothers implemented MPulse CMMS and NexTraq GPS tracking and used MPulse’s DataLink Integration Adapter to feed live mileage into the CMMS. The integration—deployed rapidly—automatically triggers mileage-based work orders, cuts manual data entry, keeps low-mileage assets serving jobs rather than idling in the shop, and has given the maintenance team greater uptime, reliability, and confidence in fleet management.
