WIKA, a global leader in precision pressure and temperature measurement, faced rising product variety and the need to standardize production control and reporting across multiple sites. On the advice of a lean consultant, WIKA selected the HYDRA Manufacturing Execution System from MPDV to improve planning, machine-data collection and shop-floor transparency.

MPDV implemented HYDRA modules including Shop Floor Scheduling, Tool & Resource Management, DNC & Configuration Data, In-Production Inspection and Test Equipment Management, integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX. The solution (deployed in about six months and later rolled out to sites in Germany, Poland and the USA) connected ~80 machines and ~40 shop-floor clients, raised delivery reliability to 95% and improved productivity in the tool shop by about 5%.
