A MPDV Case Study
Ruch Novaplast, a major European specialist in EPS and EPP foam parts, needed to replace an obsolete shop-floor data system with a single, integrated MES to collect machine and quality data, enable batch tracing, record working hours and access control, and link directly to Microsoft Dynamics AX. After an extensive selection process the company chose MPDV and its HYDRA MES to provide investment reliability and broad, out‑of‑the‑box functionality.
MPDV implemented HYDRA across Ruch Novaplast’s sites—integrating with Microsoft Dynamics, connecting 32 injection‑molding machines (via UMPS), 5 scales (via PCC), 20 planning consoles and 12 touch industrial PCs—and deploying modules for material & production logistics, energy management, time & attendance, personnel time management and access control. The solution delivered real‑time machine status, automated KPIs and traceability, and enabled energy- and quality-focused optimizations; Ruch Novaplast improved OEE by more than 15% within 24 months, realizing a savings potential of several hundred thousand euros and achieving rapid payback for the HYDRA deployment by MPDV.
