A MPDV Case Study
Krone (Bernard Krone GmbH & Co. KG), a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery and commercial trailers, faced fragmented, outdated production and time-tracking systems—Excel-based shop floor scheduling, no capacity planning from actual data, and inconsistent interruption reporting. To modernize and standardize production control, Krone engaged MPDV and deployed the HYDRA MES to consolidate shop floor data, machine data, time & attendance and scheduling into a single integrated system.
MPDV implemented HYDRA modules (shop floor data, machine data, time & attendance, shop floor scheduling and personnel scheduling) with SAP integration, 240 shop-floor terminals and connections to 60 machines, delivering real-time KPIs and automated bonus calculations for incentive wages. The solution made planning predictable, optimized staff and machine utilization, and produced measurable impact — a 12.4% productivity increase in a pilot test — prompting Krone to plan company-wide rollout of incentive wages and extend HYDRA to additional sites.
