GROHE, a leading sanitary fittings manufacturer, needed end-to-end data collection and tighter planning/control across casting, machining, surface finishing and assembly to improve tool and machine utilization. To meet this challenge GROHE chose MPDV and its HYDRA MES as a strategic partner to provide a standardized, adaptable MES and interfaces to their existing systems.

MPDV implemented HYDRA across GROHE’s three German sites, connecting tooling, core molding, casting, machining, electroplating and injection molding with interfaces to SAP and the Arburg ALS subsystem—deploying 120 HYDRA shop floor clients, 60 office clients and 330 connected machines. HYDRA automatically collects piece counts and machine conditions, supports shop floor scheduling, time & attendance and access control, and delivers real‑time dashboards; the result is greater transparency and efficiency, better machine/tool utilization, reduced unnecessary WIP and faster response to malfunctions and capacity bottlenecks.
