A MPDV Case Study
GEDIA (Gebrüder Dingerkus GmbH), a global automotive supplier with >600 Mio. Euro turnover and more than 4,000 employees, needed a modular MES to bridge ERP, HR and production, increase machine and personnel capacities, enable real-time evaluations and optimize shift-level planning while keeping as close to standard functionality as possible. To meet that challenge they engaged MPDV and chose the HYDRA MES solution.
MPDV implemented HYDRA as a SAP sub-system, deploying Shop Floor Scheduling, Shop Floor Data, Premium & Incentive Wages, Access Control and machine-data interfaces to provide detailed shift planning, online order progress and real-time reports. The HYDRA rollout connects more than 290 machines, runs on 160 office clients and 281 shop floor clients across five sites (with Mexico planned), provides the data basis for incentive wages and downtime/utilization analyses, and has improved production transparency and acceptance across GEDIA’s workforce.
