Case Study: ARGO-HYTOS achieves production transparency and standardized KPIs with MPDV HYDRA

ARGO-HYTOS, a global component and system supplier with more than 1,300 employees, needed greater production transparency and insight into machine efficiencies at its Kraichtal‑Menzingen site. To address machine standstills, order planning and fragmented time/attendance data they selected MPDV’s Manufacturing Execution System HYDRA to standardize shop‑floor KPIs and consolidate production IT systems.

MPDV implemented HYDRA modules including Shop Floor Data, Machine Data, Shop Floor Scheduling, Time & Attendance, Personnel Time Management, Premium & Incentive Wages and Access Control, integrating with SAP PP and connecting 45 machines (21 office clients, 15 shop‑floor clients). As a result, ARGO-HYTOS automated collection of order processing times, machine status, production quantities and attendance (eliminating manual recording), enabled bonus calculations, improved long‑term performance through transparent order and machine data and established standardized KPIs now being rolled out to sites in the Czech Republic, India, USA, China and Poland.
