Westgate Resorts elevates Planet Hollywood Towers with Moz Designs’ 17 electric red columns

Westgate Resorts sought to create a visually striking and glamorous atmosphere for the lobby and VIP areas of its Planet Hollywood Towers property in Las Vegas. The challenge was to incorporate durable, attention-getting architectural elements that would deliver flair and visual excitement to these high-traffic public spaces. They partnered with vendor Moz Designs to utilize their decorative architectural metal products.

Moz Designs fabricated and installed 17 large Electric Red decorative aluminum column covers, a matching soffit, and over 100 ceiling tiles. The solution was not only aesthetically impactful, creating a visual wonderland of color and texture, but also structurally sound and cost-effective, as the solid core aluminum panels required no additional backing. The results were so successful that Westgate's CEO noted the columns were critical in creating a heightened sense of place. The materials also contributed to LEED certification due to their recycled content, and a protective DuraFilm coating was applied to ensure long-term durability.
