The Paul Hotel creates a dramatic NYC lobby with Moz Designs’ 3,000-square-foot metal paneling

The Paul Hotel sought to create an authentic New York experience in its Manhattan lobby and was looking for a new take on urban materials and textures. They engaged vendor Moz Designs to fabricate unique wall and ceiling treatments using their Móz Metals product line.

Moz Designs implemented a solution using solid core aluminum panels with rectangular laser cutouts that were backlit. A unique projecting bracket system was developed to mount the 3,000 square feet of paneling, giving the façade a faceted look. The final result was a dramatic and startling effect that defines the hotel's contemporary style, with the president of the development group noting it successfully channeled the energy of the cityscape into the interior.
