Texas A&M University transforms 482 square feet of student housing with Moz Designs

Texas A&M University needed distinctive new student housing that would appeal to students and parents while honoring the university's heritage, specifically its historic Century Tree. The design team at Gensler Houston partnered with vendor Moz Designs to address this challenge using custom perforated metal.

Moz Designs created a one-of-a-kind image of the oak tree for the building's elevation using custom Digital Perforated Aluminum Wall Sheets. The solution used different hole sizes across 21 panels to form the image rather than direct printing. This resulted in a unique and impactful design feature that serves as a central, welcoming piece for the Aspire College Station development, successfully differentiating it from other housing options. The Moz team was noted as being great to work with.
