Georgia Aquarium enhances its 1-million-square-foot expansion with Moz Designs

The Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest indoor aquarium, required a durable and thematically appropriate architectural solution for the entrance to its new shark gallery expansion. Moz Designs was selected to provide custom metal columns that could withstand high traffic while immersing visitors in an underwater experience.

Moz Designs created nine solid-core aluminum columns engraved with a wavy, organic pattern reminiscent of sea kelp. Finished with a custom Aqua Blue Gloss powder coat, the columns were designed to endure heavy-duty cleaning and maintain their appearance for millions of annual visitors. The solution from Moz Designs was not only aesthetically tailored to the aquatic theme but also built for maximum durability, with each column arriving pre-fabricated and ready for installation to save time.
