Case Study: Nova Lines saves $250,000+ and improves safety with Motive fleet management

A Motive Case Study

Preview of the Nova Lines Case Study

Nova Lines solved some of its biggest operational headaches and saved $250k annually — with KeepTruckin’s integrated fleet management platform

Nova Lines, a Chicago-based flatbed general freight carrier with a 170-truck fleet, faced operational headaches around driver safety, claims management, asset visibility and time-consuming manual IFTA/fuel reporting. To address these issues they evaluated fleet platforms and deployed Motive’s integrated fleet management solution, including the Motive Smart Dashcam and asset-tracking tools.

Motive’s platform gave Nova Lines a single hub to monitor safety events, exonerate drivers, track trailers and automate IFTA and fuel reporting, enabling faster coaching and loss prevention. As a result Nova Lines cut administrative time (IFTA reporting to roughly 4–5 hours per quarter), lowered insurance rates by 12%—saving more than $250,000 in one year—and delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars in annual savings while improving overall fleet safety and visibility.
