Alba Freight Lines, a 32-truck general freight carrier based in Niles, Illinois, faced outdated fleet technology, connectivity problems in rural areas, and a conditional FMCSA safety rating when Safety Manager Judi Catania joined the company. Drawing on her prior positive experience, Judi selected Motive’s fleet management solution—including Bluetooth-connected ELDs, Smart Dashcams, and onboarding support—to simplify driver workflows and address compliance gaps.
Motive implemented Bluetooth-enabled logs, Smart Dashcams, 24/7 customer support, and a Buyout Program to ease the transition, plus a dedicated project manager for onboarding. As a result Alba Freight Lines eliminated paper logs in remote areas, restored consistent connectivity, improved driver coaching and alerts for events like hard braking, and moved from a conditional FMCSA rating to significantly improved safety scores.
