ASOS, the UK-based online fashion retailer, was growing quickly but needed to expand internationally to sustain that momentum. In 2009, with sales already reaching £150 million and customers in more than 100 countries, ASOS set its sights on key markets like the United States, Germany, and France. To support this expansion, ASOS partnered with MotionPoint and used its website localization services.
MotionPoint launched localized sites for the U.S., Germany, and France in 2010 with zero IT integration, then helped ASOS expand to Italy, Australia, Spain, and Russia. The result was rapid international growth: within three years, international sales rose from less than 30% to more than 60% of total sales, helping ASOS accelerate its global expansion.
