OTT Communications, a New England telecommunications provider, was growing quickly and struggling with an increasingly complex server environment spread across multiple locations. To improve utilization, reduce costs, and simplify operations, the company turned to Mosaic Technology for help with datacenter consolidation and virtualization, using solutions including VMware, Dell EqualLogic, VEEAM, and Pano Logic.

Mosaic Technology architected and installed a virtualized infrastructure that included VMware Enterprise Plus with vCenter Server, VMware Site Recovery Manager, Dell rack servers, Dell EqualLogic storage, VEEAM Backup, and Pano Logic desktop virtualization. The result was a major reduction in footprint and costs: server requirements for Bangor and Portland dropped from 120 physical servers to 15, while OTT also improved scalability, maintained response times, and strengthened business continuity for 24x7 operations.
