Holyoke Health Center (HHC), a JCAHO-accredited community health center in Holyoke, MA, was experiencing rapid growth in both patients and staff and needed to upgrade its IT infrastructure. HHC wanted a stronger disaster recovery plan, more storage, and a more flexible platform to support future expansion, so it partnered with Mosaic Technology to evaluate virtualization and related infrastructure options.

Mosaic Technology implemented an integrated virtualized environment using VMware ESX 3.5, Dell PowerEdge 2950 servers, an EqualLogic PS100 SAN, and supporting replication and backup tools. The solution included VM replication with Vizioncore vReplicator to a failover server in Chicopee and CA XOsoft for near-continuous email protection, giving HHC a practical disaster recovery setup while meeting capacity needs within budget.
