A Morse Watchmans Case Study
The Salem Correctional Facility, a direct supervision prison, needed to upgrade its outdated security and key management systems to ensure inmate and employee safety and comply with state regulations for routine rounds. The challenge involved maintaining secure access, performing reliable guard tours, and accurately tracking high-security keys. The facility turned to vendor Morse Watchmans for a solution.
Morse Watchmans implemented its Boss 2002 guard tour system and its KeyWatcher key management system. The rugged, Auto Pilot-enabled tour system ensured rounds were completed as scheduled and provided accurate reports, while the electronic key cabinets restricted access and created a full audit trail. As a result, the facility has not lost a single key since implementation, greatly improving accountability and meeting all security mandates.
