A Morse Watchmans Case Study
Ohio University, the oldest public institution of higher learning in the state of Ohio, faced a significant security challenge in managing its master keys. Before implementing a solution from Morse Watchmans, maintenance and custodial employees carried multiple high-level keys, creating a risk of keys being lost, transferred, or not returned. This made it difficult for management to track key access and maintain control over facility security.
Morse Watchmans implemented its scalable KeyBank and KeyWatcher key management systems to address these issues. The solution provided a secure, tamper-proof cabinet to store keys and an automated system to control and audit who removed keys and for how long. This greatly enhanced security, eliminated the need for employees to carry multiple keys, and provided efficient reporting that saved hours of manual log searches. The university was so satisfied with the system's reliability and support that it seamlessly expanded the installation by adding six more cabinets.
