Wild cuts plastic 17% and saves £200,000 with Morrama

The customer, Wild, sought to update their refillable deodorant case and refill based on four years of customer feedback. Their challenge was to improve the user experience, reduce material usage and costs, and enhance the product's sustainability. They engaged the design and innovation vendor Morrama for this project.

Morrama redesigned the case to be more compact and easier to use, removing buttons and adding a self-locking mechanism for accessibility. The refill was also updated to reduce leftover product. The new design used 20% less plastic and 16.5% less aluminium, was designed for easy disassembly and recycling, and maintained backwards compatibility with older versions. This redesign saved the business £200,000 within six months of launch.
