Quell, a fitness gaming startup, partnered with the industrial design and innovation agency Morrama to design and develop its immersive fitness gaming platform. The challenge was to create a comfortable, inclusive, and future-proof wearable system and controllers that would make users forget they were working out.

Morrama designed a minimal belt wearable and ergonomic controllers, focusing on anthropometric consistency and intuitive gameplay. A key aspect of their solution was a commitment to design for disassembly, with hidden screws enabling easy repair to extend product life. Through multiple rounds of user testing, Morrama achieved a comfortable fit for a wide range of body types with only three belt sizes and created controllers that felt natural for the majority of hand sizes.
